Sure this has been asked b4....... so have a couple of p60`s 2009 2010 from current full time employment, when i check my NI contributions for the corrosponding years it says "year is not full" and "you did not make any contributions this year". So is this common or a technical error and something simple to sort ? Thanks

Hi Darren is asking,

I note that you have P60s for a couple of tax years but your Personal Tax Account (PTA) shows that they are not qualifying for pension purposes.
If your earnings for these tax years are recorded on your PTA, it would suggest that some voluntary class 3 contributions may be required for these tax years to count
for pension purposes.
You may wish to call our National Insurance Helpline on 0300 200 3500 to discuss these tax years and check whether any voluntary contributions are required.
Before you decide to pay voluntary contributions you should contact the Future Pension Centre to make sure that it is beneficial for you to pay them, their telephone
number is 0800 7310175.
If your earnings for these tax years are not recorded on your PTA then please send us copies and we’ll arrange for these contributions to be traced and put onto your
National Insurance account.

Thank you.
