Voluntary contibutions abroad

HMRC received my application for valuntary contributions 29/08/2023. Last time, a month ago, when I checked for progress it was - reply will be by 08/2024. Today it says - You should have received a reply by 12 September 2023. Why is it so?

On the expect a reply tool on gov.uk the dates are an estimate and may change.
The statement is directly under the date you have been given.
Check when you can expect a reply from HMRC
Due to priorities workloads can affect the reply times.
