I moved overseas about 13 years ago and have worked abroad ever since (Spain). I have about 7 years UK NICS. HMRC have confirmed that I am eligible to pay Class 2 voluntary NICS. Before I do so however I want to be sure they will count towards my state pension entitlement. When I add together my UK and Spain years I will have entitlement to both a Spanish and a UK pension but I am considering topping up my UK years just to give myself more of a UK pension when the time comes. Under which circumstances would voluntary Class 2 NICS NOT count towards SP entitlement? Many thanks

Hi

I can confirm that class 2 National insurance contributions do count towards your UK state pension

Thanks
