I am about to pay Voluntary NI Contributions, I have been given the bank details to pay my money in to and I have the 18digit code to hopefully tie everything together. However, I was specifically told to pay it into an Account called ‘HMRC NIC Receipts’ and First Direct only have the following options, ‘HMRC NICO’ which I believe stands for HMRC National Insurance Office and ‘HMRC NI Deficiency Payments’. Both of these accounts have the same Sort Code and Account Number as the ones I have been given but I want to be sure the payment doesn’t get ‘lost’ and there is no option available for me to change the details to HMRC NIC Receipts. Which name should I choose? Or doesn’t it matter? Thanks for the help.
