Hi - I filled out a CF83 and received a breakdown of all my national insurance gaps, however this includes the 3 years I was in full-time education (university). Is this accurate? If so - I want to pay some of my shortfalls but do not want to have the money I pay allocated to those years, as I never planned to fill those gaps given I wasn't employed over that time period. How do I specify which years I am paying for?

Hi,
There are no National Insurance credits, with the sole criteria of eligibility being studying at University full time, therefore, that would be correct.
If you would like to specify the years you would like your payment to be allocated to, please call us on 0300 200 3500 or contact us on our National Insurance webchat service
on the GOV.UK website’ National Insurance: general enquiries
Thank you.
