Hi, My partner lived and worked in New Zealand for 20 years and is now showing a large hole in her N.I. contributions back in UK. Please advise if there is anything in place for her to either claim a pension from NZ or close the gap in her UK contributions. Thanks

Hi,
UK National Insurance accounts only show the National Insurance contributions that you’ve paid or been credited with in the United Kingdom.
It does not include any social security contributions that you may have paid in another country.
You may wish to contact the DWP Future Pension Centre for further details about periods spent in New Zealand.
Their telephone numbers are 0800 731 0175 (from the UK) or +44 191 218 3600 (from overseas).
Some details about State Pensions if you’ve lived in New Zealand can be found at the following weblink:
State Pension if you've lived in Australia, Canada or New Zealand
Thank you.
