I reached state retirement age in May, & a few days before paid 5 years of missing Class 2 contributions to HMRC as advised by Future Pensions. A week later I contacted HMRC who confirmed receipt & agreed to allocate the payment to my account, ‘which should take about 2 weeks’. 3 weeks later my NI record is still showing gaps, & my first pension payment does not reflect the additional contributions. I would like to know how long it will take until I receive my full pension, or who I might contact at HMRC to find out, as the general number doesn’t seem to be very helpful. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi
Sorry that your payments of voluntary National Insurance contributions are not yet recorded on your Personal Tax Account (PTA).
If you could call our National Insurance Helpline again and mention that you are over State Pension Age then they will be able to deal with the payment urgently.
Their telephone number is found in the following link:- National Insurance: general enquiries.
Thank you.
