Hello, I am looking for an advice of how I can claim a refund for all my NI contributions. Some details: I lived (studied at university and worked) in the UK from 2005 until 2016. During this period I'd worked part-time as a student and full-time after graduation. I moved back to Bulgaria in 2016. As I don't plan to ever come back to the UK to live there, how can I claim a refund for all my NI contributions? Many thanks!

You can't. But they will still contribute to your pension in the future. You'll get some money from UK & some from BG

Hi  Yavor Ivanov

I cannot advise if you are due a refund of NICs. If you believe you are due a refund you can write to International Caseworker with your name, NI number, contact number & details of the contributions you want refunding. You will need to include amounts paid, when they were paid, what year(s) were paid, how you paid, why you want a refund & IBAN or bank account and sort code or who to make a cheque payable to. Please send your details to International Caseworker, PT Operations North East England, HMRC, BX9 1AN, United Kingdom.

Thanks
