NIC class 2 contributions for less than 12 months

I have never filled in a self assessment before and after completing the form I see I have to pay a full 12 months of NIC class 2 contributions at £3.15 per week for 2022-2023, totalling £163.80. I was only self employed during that year from April to September. I have changed the dates in the other tabs but the recalculation does not change. Am I doing something wrong or do I have to pay a full year of contributions? (I am already PAYE, self employment is ad hoc). Thank you. Julie.
