Dear HRMC, I am completing CF83 form and would like to clarify a couple of question on the Form. 1. I left the UK in 2014 and since then changed 3 employers in 3 different countries - shall I still include my first/initial employment's details (as opposed to the current one) when replying to questions 7 and 18? If yes, I understand that I will need to provide the details of my other subsequent 2 employers in a separate cover letter. 2. I left the UK to work for the European Central Bank in Germany, which is a Pan-European Institution. Shall I reply "yes" to Question 20 of CF83 please? And then the right of dismissal will be the European Central Bank? Just to clarify, I resigned from European Central Bank in 2020 and currently work for another employer, which is also a governmental organization (but not related to the UK Government). 3. For Question 18 - shall I include the details of my first employment after I left the UK (i.e. the European Central Bank in my case). Thank you and kind regards, Anton

Hi Anton,

I can confirm that you should provide your most recent employment abroad, at question 18, but enclose a covering letter listing all of your employments abroad in datal order.
Please provide the names and addresses of each employer, start and end dates and the country you were working in.
For question 7, you should input the most recent country i.e. the overseas country that you are living in now.
For question 20, if you’re not sure whether you’re employed by an overseas government or international organisation, you should ask your employer before giving an answer to
the questions in that section of the form.

Thank you.

Dear HRMC, Thank you for your reply. I have a few more questions please: 1. Question 3 "Your UK address" - I don't have a current UK address and have not had one since leaving the UK in October 2014. Shall I answer N/A in reply or provide my last UK address where I was residing before Oct 2014? 2. Question 8 - I currently live in the United Arab Emirates but I would like to provide my permanent address in an EU country (Estonia) to ensure the HRMC letter reaches me in case I leave the UAE in the meantime. 3. Do I need to provide a list of my UK employments' details for the 3 years before leaving the UK? 4. Can I fill out the Form on my computer in black capital letters font (i.e. not by hand/ballpoint pen)? But I will put my handwritten signature in Part 8 Declaration with a black ballpoint pen. Thank you and kind regards, Anton

Hi,
Thank you for your further enquiry.
For question 3, if you no longer have an address in the UK, you can answer N/A for this question.
For question 8, you should input the abroad address where you are currently living (United Arab Emirates) but also provide your EU address (in a separate letter) if you would prefer HMRC to write to you at your EU address, ask for this to be used for any correspondence.
You do not need to provide a list of your UK employments for the 3 years prior to leaving the UK. The form should be printed and completed using a black ballpoint pen.
Thank you
