Hi My daughter works part time, 16 hours per week. As a grandparent I provide childcare when she's at work. She claims child benefit for my two grandchildren.
If I was to put a claim in for Specified Adult Childcare credit would this affect her state pension in anyway or have any financial impact on her.
My eldest grandchild is three, can I claim for backdated credits I may have missed.
Thanks

Hi Edward Oliver
Unfortunately we cannot advise whether or not it would be beneficial in the circumstances provided. This would be a decision that you would have to make involving all of the family.
To assist please see the guidance at:
Apply for Specified Adult Childcare credits
To check your State Pension entitlement and any gaps please sign up for
• your personal tax account
• the official HMRC app
Thank you
