All our staff are paid weekly in arrears. Each working week runs from Sunday to Saturday and people receive the pay for the work undertaken that week the following Friday; e.g:
Work Week = Sun 23/03/25 to Sat 29/03/25 Pay Date = 04/04/25
Work Week = Sun 30/03/25 to Sat 05/04/25 Pay Date = 11/04/25
Work Week = Sun 06/04/25 to Sat 29/03/25 Pay Date = 18/04/25
When it comes to the increase in NLW/NMW rates on the 1 April 2025, are we correct in thinking that the first pay slip that must be calculated at the new rates will be the 18 April payslip covering the work week starting 6 April, being the first full work week starting after the rate increase?
