Hello, We need to sponsor an employee who is currently working for us in the UK. The cost of it is £15k approx. , company is willing to pay 50% (£7,500) and the balance (£7,500) will be a loan to an employee which will deducted monthly form his salary, is there any tax implications which I need to be aware of. I understand the loan element is below £10k which is not reportable as a BIK, please advise?

Hi SMH Gardezi,
If the the visa is required for them to work for you then it may fall under relocation expenses and be exempt.
Please see: Expenses and benefits: relocation costs re this.
Please also see: Expenses and benefits: loans provided to employees re loans provided to employees.
Thank you.
