Good morning, I have an employee with an Indefinite-Leave to Remain status in the UK, we are a UK employer. They wish to work remotely in India for approximately 2 months. Just wanted to check if there is any restrictions of them working remotely from India for an UK employer? Any tax implications for the company or anything else we would need to think about. I saw a response from an invividual doing the same thing and you said the below but I am trying to find out from a company point of view. Many thanks. Hi, There are no UK restrictions on you working overseas during this period. You will still be tax resident in the UK for the whole tax year. You will need to consider whether you will have an Indian tax liability, for working there during this period. Thank you.

Hi Chris,
There would not be any tax implications from the companies point of view to them doing this if the employee is taxed as normal.
Thank you.

Considering visit is under 180 days and employee has valid work permit in both countries, UK and India Would there be any implication for UK employee or UK employer in India?

Hi,
You would need to check with Indian Tax Authorities.
Thank you

I have checked with Indian tax consultants and I will file tax in India for working in India for more than 180 days but anything to consider for UK employer or myself as UK employee?
