I have received my "Activation" code for PAYE for employers and I have signed into my Gateway Account. The letter then instructs me to "Select Activate" for PAYE for employers, but this does not show on the screen. How do I overcome this problem?

Hi,
When logging in please:
•    check your User ID and password to ensure that you are not logging in with an incorrect User ID and password
•    check the date on the letter because the activation code is only valid for 28 days, if you have not used the code in that timescale, it will have expired.
You will therefore to need to enrol again and wait on another activation code,

Letter received from HMRC instructs me to sign in using my gateway ID and password. This I have done with no problems. Next instruction states "Select "Activate" for PAYE The problem is that nowhere on the screen does this appear. therefore I cannot enter the Activation code!! I notice that I am not the only person to have had this trouble. Please help

I have tried on three separate occasions to telephone HMRC and the waiting time varies between 20 and 30 minutes. I cannot afford to wait so long to speak with someone. I am frustrated that I cannot get any answer to this problem which is causing problems when trying to submit data. What do you suggest?

If it is a problem regarding activation codes your only option would be to talk to our online services department on 0300 200 3600.

I have the same problem as Neville which I cannot activate PAYE for employers by the provided activation code as there is no "Select Activate" button show on the screen. And the code is already expired. Understand that I need to apply for another activation code, but could HMRC advise how to apply for the new code as I could not find any answer from the HMRC website. Thank you.
