The company registered as an employer and processed the payroll for April. The submission was completed on time, and a direct debit was set up to pay the PAYE/NIC liability. However, no payment has been deducted. Should we advise the client to make a bank transfer?

Hi
Depending on when the direct debit was set up it may have been too late to collect the payment.
Generally the direct debit needs to be set up at least 4 working days before the payment is due to allow collection for that period.
If this is not the case then we would suggest you advise the client to make payment.
Thank you.
