Good morning, if I rented my property on Airbnb to tourists during 2023-2024 until September 2023 (6 months) and then decided to rent it long-term to tenants, can I still consider the property a Furnished Holiday Letting? Thank you. Best regards

Hi ,

Yes it would seem to just scrape through to be considered as a Furnished Holiday Letting.
I have based my answer on the guidance on our help sheet HS253:

HS253 Furnished holiday lettings (2022)  .

Your property must be available for letting as furnished holiday accommodation for at least 210 days in the year or 30 weeks.

If it is let to the same person in that tax year this cannot be for more than 155 days or 22 weeks long.

Please double check your days and weeks to make sure that this property genuinely does meet the criteria .

Thank you .
