Hello! I have an acquaintance living in Spain and I need to send him some money (approximately 15k £). I know that to send money to Spain without having to declare it, it has to be less than 10k euros, so I would split it into two transfers. I wanted to know if I have to pay any type of tax in the UK to make the transfers. Obviously, I would make the transfer from a UK account.

Hi,
There are no UK tax implications on the transfer of sterling from the UK to another country.
There are limitations in the transfer of cash in or out of the UK, but not bank transfers.
The guidance at (Take cash in and out of the UK) advises what you'll need to do.
Thank you.
