I am living in the UK but have previously lived and worked in Germany for a Germany company. For the years 2022/2023 I have been making contributions to the German non-mandatory state pension scheme (non-mandatory as I do not live there anymore). I was wondering if these contributions can be deducted from my UK taxes?

Hi

Relief is only due on private pension contributions. as this is the state pension then, no.

Thank you
