updated personal tax account address change back by itself

Hi, I think I had updated the address correctly when I move to the new house 5 months ago. But when I complete tax return last month, the 'B' behind my house number is gone. I had updated it on 06 Jul, adding 'B' behind my house number again and submitted tax return. Today I login and find that the house number is without 'B' again. So I update it again today 17 Aug. Why it change by itself? Are there any problem to my account? Would it affect my submitted tax return? If it change back again in the future, what should I do? Kind regards Kin

HMRC get address information from multiple sources including employers, if you are employed you should check the address they hold for you.

This is usually where HMRC get address amendments from unless its with another government department.

My main address keeps being changed presumably by HMRC.I corrected it by telephone a month ago only to find it has changed again on my personal tax account,Can someone please explain?

It could be that your current employer still has your old address.
If the address we hold reverts back to your old address every month, it's likely that your employer is incorrectly updating us every time they submit you pay and tax information for the month.
Ask your employer to update your address, or contact us again if they already hold the correct one.
