Hello , if your main job income is say £95k, and your second part-time job income is £15k, at which rate would the tax be calculated? I would think that due to the loss of personal allowance those £10k over the £100 total income will be taxed 60%? Would this second job change the tax code for the main job or does it mean that the second job will bear a special tax code? Thanks.

Hi Iryn,
The code applied to your second job would be D0 - your income there would be taxed entirely at 40%, as your allowances and 20% band would have been used in full at your main employment. As you income is over £100K, there would also be an adjustment applied to the code at your main employment, to deduct £5000 of tax free allowances (as you lose £1 of allowances for every £2 you earn over £100K).
Thank you.
