I made an Additional Voluntary Contribution into my workplace pension on the evening of Wednesday 3rd April last tax year (23/24). The money left my account on Thursday 4th, and arrived with my provider on that day, Thursday 4th April. However, the provider is recording the contribution as having been made into the pension the following Monday, the 8th April. (They need four days to process things.) I think the contribution should be allocated to the tax year in which the money was transferred, not the date by which my provider had finished their internal process. Is there any merit in my position?

Hi,
Please refer to Deemed date of contributions as the method of payment determines the date.
Thank you.
