If I earn money from savings interest, does this count as income with regards to tax relief claimable on pensions contributions. i.e. If my only income came from savings interest and not from employment income, would I still be eligible if I put in 8k to my pension for HMRC to contribute 2k, so my total pension pot was 10k?
