Gift money to partner to cover living costs

Hello, I have been sending money as a gift to my partner, in past year to cover living costs. Do they need to declare them on their taxes and pay anything from it, and could it affect any benefits they would be receiving? It was about a £300/month.

No this does not need to be declared as there is no tax due on cash gifts. they may however need to report any interest or dividends thats this then generates.
