Hello, Months ago I received a cheque for tax refund and I couldn't cash it because I live outside the UK (and am not UK resident). Then I called the helpline and asked for a replacement cheque to be sent to a person living in the UK. He received the check but wasn't able to cash it because his family name was misspelled. I called the helpline again to request a new replacement check with the correct family name and I was told that changes of details must be requested by mail. I am wondering if there is a faster way to fix this. Thank you Best

Hi,

There has been a change in process regarding requesting replacements and if we are sending them to a nominated person, we require you to request this in writing.

Thank you.

Hi,

The address to write to is:

HMRC,
Self Assessment & PAYE,
BX9 1AS
UK.

You will need to include the nominees name and address.

Thank you.

Is there any way we can do this via email or phone?

Hi rgauped

We do not take nominee details over webchat, email or telephone. You must write to us with your nominee details in order for us to be able to deal with your repayment claim.

Thanks

Hello I got issued a tax refund check in the month of October; unfortunately, my toddler child wrote on the cheque. Please, I would like to know if I can be reissued a new cheque. Cheers
