I am considering accepting a job offer from another country while working remotely in UK as a resident. The company has no physical presence in the UK. Therefore I have to handle the tax matters myself. I notice that the salary is above the NI threshold and I would have to pay NI. Could I pay the national insurance via self assessment tax returns? Is it a must to set up DPNI or DCNI scheme?

Hi,
You can pay it through self assessment, you will declare the income as self employment, the income must be declared in sterling.
Thank you.
