Hi there, I am a non UK resident. My UK Ltd company has deduced withholding tax for its loan's interests payment to me. As I need to claim foreign tax credit in my our country, is it right that my company has to provide me a copy of R158 (Certificate of deduction of income tax)? If yes, do I need to send it to HMRC for official stamp? Thank you. Jamie

Hi JHK2023,

That is correct. It is for the company to request the certificate for you to provide to your own countrys tax authorities.
Once provided, there is no need for a further HMRC stamp.

Thank you.
