I recently got a new EV, leased as part of a Salary Sacrifice Scheme with my employer. I know I have to inform HMRC of the car details etc. but there is one question I can't get an answer for - even from HMRC themselves when I was on hold for 45 mins to be told they didn't know sorry ! How much did you pay before Tax towards the car ? I pay a monthly amount (before tax) what do I enter here - the monthly amount or an annual amount, no one seems to know, not even my employer. HELP anyone please Thanks

Hi,
When reporting to HMRC, you typically need to provide the annual amount paid before tax for the car under the Salary Sacrifice Scheme.
This is because HMRC generally assesses benefits like these on a yearly basis, not monthly.
Thank you.
