Payment into ISA during transfer

Hi, I have opened a new Stock & Share ISA with a new provider and placed a request to transfer my existing ISA with previous provider. Since it would take almost 4-8weeks in transfer, can I invest into this new SS ISA account during this transfer period?

Have a look at the guidance at Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs).  
Your ISA provider will be able to confirm if you can invest in the new ISA, before the transfer from the old ISA takes place.
