Hi. I will need to pay tax on savings interest earned this year but I do not want you to adjust my tax code. I’ve asked about option to pay before but had conflicting guidance from HMRC so worth checking again. When will you be issuing your calculations of savings tax earned in 23/24 FY please to tax payers? It’s now Jan and HMRC must have the date scheduled. Will this be in letter format? Will your comms include details of how to make a one off payment without adjusting a tax code (which the is easy option for HMRC but not how I want to pay.) Is there guidance on your website of how to make a one off payment for taxpayers who do not complete self assessment? Please include a link in response if it’s available. Many thanks for you help

Hi Wini,
Once all details of your interest are known, a calcualtion will be issued to show the tax due. you can then pay this via your personal tax account
so that it is not included in your tax code.
Please note however, tax codes will be issued in the next few weeks so any payments made now may not be shown when the first code is issued
Personal tax account: sign in or set up
Thank you.

Hi. Thank you! Just a quick question. The supporting docs (payslip etc) you require to register. Will I need to send HMRC originals or upload a copy please? Thanks again

Hi Wini,
While we often now accept uploaded copies of documents, the correct answer depends on what you're registering for.
