I moved to the UK in December 2022 with a BNO Visa and before that I visited UK as a traveller in May 2022 (before I received my BNO visa). When I count the total days that I stayed in the UK for my tax residence test, should the travelling days be included? In the Tax residence test https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/guidance/check-your-UK-residence-status/start/choose-tax-year The result shows that “ You were not a UK resident for the tax year 6 April 2022 to 5 April 2023”, does it mean I don’t need to report tax for 2022-2023? Thanks

Hi bbc2023,

Travelling days should not be included.
If not resident you do not need to report any foreign income.

Thank you.
