Hello, My Tax Return was submitted early enough (May 2023) in the hope of having my NI record updated correspondingly. A confirmation "You have nothing to pay." is shown, as of 26 July 2023 on my "Current position" account page. Yet, on my National Insurance Record page, the entry for the years 2022 to 2023 shows "Your record for this year is not available yet ". If the NI record takes some time to be updated, how is it possible to receive a confirmation that my NI contribution for 2022-2023 is paid?

If you are looking for the amount to be allocated before 31/01/2024 you need to contact the national Insurance department

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I am not sufficiently well versed in the technical language and the meaning of “… looking for the amount to be allocated before 31/01/2024”. My enquiry is about the following: In section “Your National Insurance record” https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/check-your-state-pension/account/nirecord The NI contributions are listed for consecutive financial years, with most recent at the top. The last few years of my record show: 2022 to 2023 Your record for this year is not available yet 2021 to 2022 Full year 2020 to 2021 Full year … etc. I was asking when the NI record for 2022 to 2023 will be available (expecting to show “Full year”) Also, how can I receive a confirmation that my NI contribution for this same year, 2022 to 2023 is complete, if the updating of the record in my HMRC profile will take longer. Hi,
The 22/23 tax year will show as Not available yet as the system allows until October following the end of a tax year for full processing of that year’s NICs and Credits.
Our automatic Statements and PTA will therefore not show information  if the year is Full or available to pay until October.  
If you want confirmation of your NI record for the 22/23 tax yr and are abroad, you can contact our Centre for Non Residents Helpline on +44 1912037010, Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm.  
As the International Pension Centre is part of DWP, I cannot advise when you could expect a reply to your online enquiry form to them.
