Hi I am posting on behalf of my retired father who has been writing to HMRC about £1,000 that he has been owed for a number of years. He hasn't ever had a response to his letters. He tried working with an accountant on his behalf but the accountant also never got a response. Could anyone advise me on an effective way to have this case looked in to? Many thanks

Hi Charlie76 81,
I apologise if no response has been received to previous letters.
To review this we would need to access the record.
Your father, unless you are authorised to act on his behalf with HMRC, will need to contact HMRC to review Income Tax: general enquiries
Thank you.
