Hi, I am in the process of withdrawing funds from a French 'assurance-vie' in order to buy a flat in the UK. I am a British fiscal resident and therefore am exempt of taxes in France. I therefore need to get the CERFA 5000 and 5002 documents signed by HMRC. I sent the forms a few weeks and I need them urgently back to get the funds released. How can I get an update from HMRC and how can the signing process expedited? Thanks

Hi, I am in a similar situation as Arcade above, and also this individual - https://community.hmrc.gov.uk/customerforums/pt/d9811c61-026c-ee11-a81c-0022481a5085 I did everything recommended on the forum . I sent the forms to the PAYE service and also called the Self-Assessment Helpline but did not manage to get any guidance from them except repeating what was already posted on this forum. It has now been three months since I requested these forms to be completed. Surely, there is a better way to track the progress of such requests?
