I am in the process of transferring money from an account in France to the UK. As the French account was set up by my grandmother when I was a child, its more difficult to transfer. The French tax authority requires HMRC to fill out a form which I sent to HMRC over a month ago (with a cover letter to explain and my contact details). I've not heard anything since . What should I do ? Is there a phone number I can ring ? I sent it to the following address Pay As You Earn and Self Assessment HM Revenue and Customs BX9 1AS United Kingdom

Hi Fleety95,

As our self assessment helpline is closed until early September, you will need to contact my colleagues via webchat.
They will be able to confirm if we recieved your form and progress chase your request.
Please have a look at the information at Self Assessment: general enquiries, which will have a link to log in to chat.

Thank you.
