How long for Tax Code to update?

I started working 2 jobs in summer 2023 (around July) and so for my second job was getting taxed 20%. However, I quit my first job at the end of September 2023 and handed my employer my P45 to update my tax code so that I would no longer be taxed 20% on my income from my current job. However, I still appear to be getting taxed even though it has been quite a few months. When will this be updated?
