I retired early, 4 months ago from my local authority employment, 18 months before I receive a state pension. I have been emergency taxed on this (BR) which leaves me a lot less than I thought I would receive. Will I have to wait until the end of this tax year for this to be rectified?

Hi,
No you do not have to wait till the end of the tax year to remedy this, you should contact us and we will review your record and hopefully be able to adjust your
tax code accordingly if all the information we hold is correct, - Income Tax: general enquiries
