Address change in personal tax account

I recently logged in to my personal tax account and noticed that both my "Main address" and "Postal address" had changed to the address of my new employer. From memory, both used to be my home address. I've changed the Postal address back to my home address, but when I try to change the Main address, I get the following message - "You cannot use this service to update your address. The date you entered is earlier than a date previously held on your address record." Has anyone run into this problem before, and will calling HMRC allow me to update my Main address? And presumeably, the address listed should be my personal address and not that of my employer?

If the date continues to be rejected, you will need to use a more recent date for the address change.
