As I knew, the foreign pension lump sum of civil service of Hong Kong should be tax free for even UK resident. However, I will get my pension in about ten years later. if then I get British Citizenship (indefinite leave to remain) after 5+1, my pension lump sum of civil service of Hong Kong would became taxable or not?

Hi

A Hong Kong civil service pension is only taxable in Hong Kong, even when you are Uk resident or citizen.

Thank you
