Hi, I am self-employed and earn most of my (small) income from abroad (still UK resident etc.). I have filled in SA103 declaring total income and then SA106 declaring the part that's foreign income. But then in the final calculation, the income entered in both sections is added up together, leading to the foreign income being counted twice. How should I enter it? To be clear, I am seeking to pay UK tax on this foreign income (i.e. none paid on it yet). Does it not go in the SA103? Does it only go in the SA103? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

Hi

Your foreign self employment income should be declared in SA103.  Only if you are claiming a foreign tax credit, do you also declare it in the foreign section.

Thank you
