Hello, I've made a donation through Gift Aid to a UK charity. Am I eligible to claim tax relief on this donation as an additional rate taxpayer? If so, how would it be calculated? Many thanks.

Hi
Please find Guidance at: Tax relief when you donate to a charity.
Thank you.

Yes, I've already read this page. It only specifies guidance for higher-rate taxpayers. Can you please clarify as to whether this category includes additional rate taxpayers, too? Thank you.

Hi,
As an additional rate taxpayer, the relief claimed is the difference between the basic rate and your own rate of 45%.
You can apply for this relief in the same way as higher rate taxpayers, as detailed here Tax relief when you donate to a charity
Thank you.
