Hi, i am trying to complete my 22/23 self assessment I have received £573.48 of dividend income from an italian stock I owned and had 26% of the income withheld (£149.10). i would like to claim foreign tax credit but need to understand the percentage I should choose from the drop down list. It is very difficult to try and find this information. Please can you help me select the correct percentage. Is it possible to claim the full 26% as this is my only dividend income and therefore under the £2000 allowance. I am an additional rate tax payer.

Hi

The guidance at DT10154 - Italy: Treaty summary, advises that the dividends rate for Italy is 15%.

Thank you
