Hi, I am non UK resident and non UK domicile but need to file my self assessment due to UK rental income. If I earn interest income from a bank account held in Jersey, do I need to report this in my self assessment. Is income generated from Jersey subject to UK Tax? Thank you

Hi

No.  You would only declare any interest arsing from a UK bank account.

Thank you

how about for UK tax resident and non-domicile person? if nothing is remitted to the UK from this Jersey account, is it correct to say the interest income in this Jersey account doesn't need to be declared? thx a lot!

Hi sl2024,
If you are non domicile this would be seen as foreign income and would only be declared if remitted.
Thank you.
