Hello, I inherited a house in the EU last year, and this house does not generate any income, i.e. I do not received any rent from it. I wanted to ask if I need to declare the house in the self assessment tax return or anywhere else. Also I inherited some money, and I have the same question. Could you please let me know what I should do? Thanks in advance Kind regards

Hi Matteo,
As there is no income from the house you do not need to declare it. For the money, you do not declare the actual inheritance but if any interest is then generated from it then you need to declare that.
Thank you.

Undestood for the house. For the money does it mean if I reinvest them?

Hi,
Yes. You only then declare any interest or dividends you get once the inheritance is invested.
Thank you.
