Hi, I have an enquire about Foreign Income. I won a small lottery prize in my home country in 2023, when I was already an uk resident. I paid taxed for this money in my home country. I need to fill now my self assessment for 2022-2023 period. My questions are: 1. In uk, lottery prize are not taxable, right? Do I have to declare this money in UK? 2. When I fill my Self Assesment return for 2022-2023, what should I include in the Foreign Income section "Amount of income arising or received before any tax taken off": the amount I received in my foreign bank account (lottery prize) or only the interests received for this money in my Foreign bank account? Thanks Miriam

Hi,
Your lottery prize is not taxable in the UK and does not need to be declared in your tax return.
Thank you.
