Hello, I received a letter saying that I was liable for a £100 penalty for not submitting my self-assessment on time for the year ending April 2023. I appealed this, I did not believe that I was required to submit a self-assessment as I was taxed PAYE. In the past I had had other earnings, but not for the year ending April 2023. We received child benefit and so my husband did submit a self-assessment as he was the higher earner for that year. I think the HMRC letter stating the result of my appeal has gone missing in the post and I see no way to re-issue it. It is also not clear to me whether I must submit a self-assessment for that year. I'd appreciate help with resolving this. Thank you,
