I have a savings account that recently accrued more than £1000, but less than £10000, in interest. I am not self-employed and earn approximately £24000 through a salary. My savings account is with a bank that has informed me they report all interest paid for each tax year to HMRC. Do I still have to do a self assessment?

Based on the details provided you would not meet the criteria for Self Assessment.
Check if you need to send a Self Assessment tax return
