I am trying to understand if my pension contributions can be taken into account for adjusted net income. My contributions to a workplace pension are made before tax as a salary exchange/salary sacrifice. Does this count as below? "If you made a contribution to a pension scheme where your pension provider has already given you tax relief at basic rate, take off the 'grossed-up' amount, what you paid plus the basic rate of tax." Also, if i am able to take these contributions into account for adjusted net pay then this means i may have mistakenly overpaid in previous years. Will i be able to claim this back?

Hi

If the pension contributions are part of a salary sacrifice, then they are already deducted from your income so not deducted again for adjusted net income. .

Thank you
