Hello, On Page F2 of my self assessment return I have entered. Foreign Interest. Foreign dividends and Foreign pension. Had no other income. The foreign pension had US income taxes withheld at source and I entered that amount in Column C of Page F2. Do I need to add or transfer anything onto page F3? The Foreign notes are not clear to me. Also is the amount of tax withheld credited against the UK tax liability or deducted from the taxable amount of income? First time filing self assessment so want to ensure I enter everything as I should. Thank you. This forum has been really helpful navigating this process.

Hi,
If you are calculating your tax yourself, you also need to have an entry at box 2 on page 1.
If you want HMRC to calculate it, you can leave it blank.
Thank you.
