I received interest from savings in Malta and tax was deducted in Malta - can I claim foreign tax credit relief? If yes, what % do I select for the "rate of tax credit relief"? I also received dividends from companies in Malta with tax deducted in Malta - can I claim foreign tax credit relief? If yes, what % do I select for the "rate of tax credit relief"? Thanks

Hi,
Article 10 of the UK / Malta tax treaty (Malta: tax treaties), gives both Malta and the UK, the right to tax your dividends, with Malta having the first right.
You would claim a foreign tax credit in your country of residence, for the tax paid in Malta, so that you do not pay the tax twice.
Thank you.
